Study Groups

I will assign each student to do different parts of the assignment. Also, I will ask each one of them to explain the prompt in his own way. Then, I would recommend them to read their essay out loud, so they can check for grammar and punctuation. In this way, they will be more responsible and they will understand they need to take certain roles in completing this project.
In my opinion, when the student reads the articles and summarizes each paragraph in their own words. As a result, the student will be able to write down a topic sentence for each paragraph along with the supporting details. The last sentence of each paragraph will express the idea of the next paragraph. In addition, it is very important to do In-Text citation, while paraphrasing the articles. We have to explain each quotation in our words so we can give credit to the author.
I will try to convince the student to rewrite the essay in a very different way. First, I would suggest that the student reads the essay out loud in order to find any mistakes. In addition, choosing a different topic will be very helpful. Also, going over the prompt and following up the directions will make the writing process much easier. In order to receive a better grade, the student has to perceive the assignment from a different angle. When we accept our challenges that is when we become productive students.
